Richard A. Gerentine, Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature, has announced the appointment of the Law Enforcement Center Project Committee. The members of the committee include Majority Leader Michael Stock, Chairman, Legislators Wayne Harris, Albert Meyer, Tracey Bartels, Peter Kraft and Richard Parete. Chairman Gerentine will serve on the committee as ex-officio.

This new committee, which will oversee matters relative to the jail project, replaces any previously formed committees and supercedes the activities of any standing committee relative to issues concerning the Law Enforcement Center project. Chairman Gerentine stated, " I want to thank all of the Legislators serving on this committee for their willingness to serve on this very important committee. I know there is a broad range of experience, depth of knowledge and strong interest in this project that will benefit all the residents of Ulster County. We look forward to their recommendations as we seek to move this project forward in an expeditious manner."
