Legal Rights of Relatives Caring for Children

Honorable Alice Tipp, Chairman of the General Services / Community Services Committee has announced that the Ulster County Office for the Aging and SUNY Ulster are co-sponsoring a seminar on the legal rights of relatives caring for children on Thursday, May 6th at 6:30PM at the Business Resource Center, located at One Development Court in Kingston.

Close to 10% of our children are being raised by non-parents. This program examines the legal obstacles of caring for children, outlines the rights of grandparents and provides planning tools for the futures of grandchildren. This course will be presented by Gerard Wallace, Esq., Director of the Grandparent Caregiver Center and The Brookdale Center of Aging at Hunter College.
