Ulster County Legislature Chairman Forms Special Committee Regarding Tech City

Ulster County Legislature Chairman Richard A. Gerentine announced today that he has formed a Special Committee to explore the County’s options regarding Tech City. Chairman Gerentine will chair the committee and has appointed Majority Leader Michael Stock, Minority Leader David Donaldson, Legislators Wayne Harris, Glenn Noonan, Michael Berardi and Alan Lomita to serve on the committee.

"Tech City is a very important piece of real estate in Ulster County and we are concerned about what may happen with this piece of property and the effects it will have on the Town of Ulster and the Kingston Consolidated School District" stated Chairman Gerentine. The Special Committee will carefully examine and explore all options regarding Tech City. "The goal of the committee is to give a report to the whole Legislative body regarding options for Ulster County to proceed in order to protect the residents of Ulster County," concluded Chairman Gerentine.
