FROM: ULSTER COUNTY PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICE DATE: April 6, 2004 MEDIA ADVISORY APRIL 6, 2004 Ulster County Legislature Proclaims April "Donate Life Month" Honorable Joseph Roberti, Chairman of the Mental Health / Public Health and Residential Services Committee will issue a proclamation to the Center For Donation & Transplant at the April 8th session of the Ulster County Legislature declaring April "Donate Life Month" to raise awareness of the urgent need for organ and tissue donation. Over 84,000 Americans are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. Mr. Roberti will also introduce a resolution allowing county employees paid leave for living organ donation and bone marrow donation.
